Sargasuli
I took this beautiful picture of sargasuli on the World Heritage Day
About Sargasuli :-
Sargasuli or Isar Lat is known as 'Tower to heaven'. It was built in 1749 by King Ishwari Singh after his victory over Madhosingh, so its a symbol of great historical importance as its a symbol of Jaipur's victory. This sky-high building provides visitors with the breath taking 360 degrees panoramic view of the entire 'Pink City' from its roof.
Its an architectural delight, After entering the minaret from its small door one can see a round gallery spiraling upwards towards the mouth of the minaret. Every floor of Isar Lat has a door that opens up towards a balcony inside the minaret. For the reason that its able to transcend earthly beauty it has also been given the title 'Sargasuli'.

New students ask me a common question many times...
How do we avoid camera shake?
Many-a-times we complain of the camera producing blurred or out of focus images...
How do we avoid camera shake?
Many-a-times we complain of the camera producing blurred or out of focus images...
In order to avoid camera shake, follow these basic steps:
- Ensure that you’re holding your camera correctly.
- Now, carefully keep the shutter button pressed halfway
- Check on the shutter speed – Note that the ideal shutter required for hand-holding is 1/focal length or higher - i.e. if you’re shooting at 50mm then your ideal shutter speed will 1/50 sec or higher. However, if you’re using a compact camera and are unable to change the shutter speed, then ensure that the ISO is increased such that the shutter speed comes closer or is higher than the ideal shutter speed.
- Check if the Image Stabilizer (IS) is ON. This is because; some of the current models offer up to a 4-stop* advantage for better hand-holding. * This concept is applicable as long as subject is not moving with considerable light conditions.
